We're condemned to repeat the past, if we refuse to remember it.

There's one thing that has always been in the back of my mind,

Filed so far away like a history text.

I've kept it there thinking it'd never come in time,

So full of dust I almost forgot.

But I saw you again with that look on your face,

And I let myself remember.

I thought we'd know when to stop coming back to this place.

You always make it harder.

I closed my eyes and it all happened like a dream.

Kinda like a movie but more like you're a tragedy.

I've been falling quite some time, but you pulled me into complications.

Burnt Out

Bright lights that shine overhead seem so tempting at first.

Rudely awakened by new complications.

Pretending we didn't know what we had.

I got to the spot where we first met.

Sometimes we think we can have everything we want, but that's not fair. Eventually, we are forced to make a decision and choose what matters to us the most.

Strength

~ Stay Strong. ~

Strength isn't a number.
It isn't how many friends you have or how many likes you get on your picture.
It isn't physical.
It isn't how much you can lift at the gym or the size of your waist.

Strength is internal.  
It is how you feel about yourself.  
It is your outlook on life.
It takes a lot to truly be strong.
Strength is the positivity you find within a "bad" day.
Strength is loving yourself more because of the mistakes you make.  
It is keeping your head up when others try to bring you down.

Strength isn't physical.  
It is not something that can be bought or traded.
Strength is built through your experiences.  
Its definition varies for each of us, but we all have it.

Maybe strength for you is just ignoring criticism and staying true to yourself.
Maybe strength is knowing that, in the end, everything will be okay.
Or, maybe strength for you is finding peace within yourself when outside forces challenge you.

Everyone has strength.
It just takes courage and confidence within yourself to find it.
