Day 23

Prompt: Write about the smell of: burning food, melting snow, the ocean, your grandparents' home, the inside of a bus or pavement after the rain

There's a candy coating in the air, this summer day.
We're playing by the fruit tree, a jungle party in the rain.
Your plants hang down like bushes from a different land.
We'll play huckle-buckle-bean stalk, forgetting issues at hand.

You're making us something with tomato sauce,
but baking brownies for the after thought.
Only if we behave while you're the one in charge.
But you don't like to disapline, only fun in this barge.

That was a back in yester-year with the green-walled house
with the cactus and the striped chairs. I wish I could go there now.
